clearly i suck at posting.
mom is doing ok. biopsy came back noncancerous. but she's starting some sort of preventative treatment soon to kill anything that might, on the off chance, decide to be a dick and switch sides from abnormal to homicidal.
other than that... things are going well.

hey all, i know i've been totally sucking at posting lately, but i have favor to ask everyone.
my mom has to get a biopsy done on tuesday. so please keep her in your thoughts and send well wishes that everything comes out normal.

so today was pretty much an epic fail. simply not my day. boogered up invites (f*ck. still really upset about that.). spilled soda all over my shirt. had a bee fly into my eye (i kid you not. atleast it didnt sting me). failed at making dinner due to matters that were not my fault. found out that no one would be home for said made dinner i was attempting to salvage. stumped on writers block (still.). about to be drowning in upcoming deadlines with nothing written to submit. and managed to look like a total lameo in front of cute architect boy.
atleast if tomorrow is a failure also, i can stay in bed pretty much all day friday haha
but in other news.

so work was kinda fun today. was in the office by myself for all but an hour. i got to go over construction plans and make spreadsheets and reorganize my files and stuff. and in the hour that i wasnt by myself.... i met a kid from australia! he used to be an intern with us, but has now come back to become an employee. that was my excitement for the day.
other than that, just the normal stuff.

so i'm not entirely sure where time is going. i cant believe that it's june already.
but on a happier note, apparently 'heather's week of random gifts' has not yet reached it's end. the list now goes; alligator socks, tin man on dvd, book naber no longer wanted, and book some random guy in borders bought me.
that's right. some random guy in borders came up to me while i was browsing the scifi section and started telling me about the dresden files (of which i knew of, but had only seen the series on scifi, and was thus not at all impressed). we got to talking and next thing i knew he was buying me the first book in the series.
kinda sweet, slightly creepy. he didnt even give me his name or phone number or anything, just handed me the book after he paid for it and disappeared. like he was never even there in the first place. but... i have a new free book! so i'd call that a win for heather. :P

it's always a good day when people that you grew up with facebook you and then post actual pictures. despite the fact that i had little kid geeky crushes on him.... he grew up hot.
also my hair is different now. was worried it might have accidentally gone purple, but it's not.

i've spent most of the day going through boxes that reside under my bed or in my closet.
and i've decided that i'm a terrible packrat. i've found things from highschool. copies of college applications. sat and act scores. and the best part? i've thrown more than half of it away.
i also found the save point to my 18th birthday. if only it worked.
